Community Homes for Opportunity

The Community Homes for Opportunity (CHO) program is a recovery-oriented person-centered program providing supportive housing that is safe and affordable, established by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOH). The CHO program in Ottawa runs in partnership with Shepherds of Good Hope who serves as the community agency responsible for 6 homes in the Ottawa area. The CHO program provides residents with opportunities to enhance the quality of their daily living, their personal growth and development, and improve life skills through participation in a variety of activities and programs. Causeway Work Centre, through the CHO program, provides recreational and vocational activities to individuals who are part of the CHO program, living in domiciliary residences in urban and rural Ottawa. Please note that participants of the CHO program are referred through Shepherds of Good Hope.
