Board Member
Causeway Work Centre is a community-based organization in Ottawa that empowers people facing barriers to employment to move toward meaningful, sustainable work. Through employment programs, skills development, and social enterprise, we create real-world opportunities for individuals to build confidence, gain experience, and develop the skills needed to succeed. Our work is rooted in inclusion, community, and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to participate fully in the workforce. Serving on Causeway’s Board is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and build brighter futures. Board Members contribute their expertise to guide the organization’s strategic direction while working alongside a committed group of community leaders dedicated to creating positive change. Commitment: The Board meets 6 times annually between September to June Committees meet approximately 4 - 6 times per year, as required Directors are elected for a 2-year term, renewable up to a maximum of 6 years Board meetings are primarily held in person, with some virtual meetings as required
